Pre-Approval

Getting pre-approved for a home loan is an important first step in the home buying process. Offers that include a pre-approval letter from a lender are more desirable to sellers than offers without a pre-approval attached. By working with a lender you can determine exactly what you can afford, what your estimated payments will look like and what you need to do to get and remain on track to buy a home. Escrow and Closing Costs

In addition to your purchase price and down payment, a buyer will usually have to pay a portion of closing costs and escrow fees. These costs consist of fees associated with transferring the home from the seller to the new buyer. Once you are in escrow, your lender will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate that will break down these fees and give you a good idea of what you can expect to pay at closing.
